Outdoor Programs

We are in a prime location for the best outdoor teaching programs!

The fully-accessible Cabrillo Coastal Park is located just steps from the front doors of the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. This coastal park includes many different habitats and teaching opportunities, with walking trails to tidepools, beaches, a saltmarsh and native plant garden.

Our seasonal Spring Outdoors Classroom gives students to opportunity to learn about tidepools, whales and grunion while out on the sandy beach!

Explore the Shore takes our hands-on teaching techniques to the Coastal park! Students will sift and search for local species, taking advantage of everything nature has to offer - which can change day to day!
