World Water Monitoring Challenge

Saturday, October 11, 2014
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Volunteers Needed!

Have you given much thought to the quality of the water around you? Join us at Cabrillo Marine Aquarium to help test the health of our salt marsh as part of World Water Monitoring Challenge.

The program encourages communities to monitor the condition of local rivers, streams, estuaries and other bodies of water any time from March 22 (The U.N.'s World Water Day) until December 31. The results are then reported in an international database. Coordinated by the Water Environment Federation and the International Water Association, WWMC is an international outreach program that builds public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world.

Learn about what you can do to conserve water and decrease pollution entering our streams and oceans. No experience is necessary and this activity is open to all ages! Children under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.

For additional information or for group reservations, please call 310-548-7562.
