11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Teachers learn about the biodiversity found in the rocky shore intertidal habitat and the adaptations organisms have developed to survive in this dynamic ecosystem. Participants will get a first-hand experience exploring our natural tidepools by the cliffs at Cabrillo Beach and receive hands-on classroom activities.
We will start our time off with background animal and habitat information in the classroom laboratory, do some fun tidepool focused activities, then head out to the rocky intertidal in search all sorts of amazing animals including; urchins, sea stars, anemones, slugs, hermit crabs, worms and so much more!
This is a free workshop open to all formal and informal educators.
For registration or for more information, please call the Aquarium at 310-548-7562.
