Now you can take a look and listen with CMA’s new audio tour that features 17 stops around the Aquarium. The tour starts with a welcome and introduction by CMA’s Director Mike Schaadt followed by a walk through the Exhibit Hall where red audio signs mark 12 different areas.
Listen as CMA’s Director of Exhibits Ed Mastro explains rocky shore habitats and have fun discovering more fascinating shark facts as Chief Aquarist Jeff Landesman highlights a few of his favorites. Then it’s off to an audio tour stop at the Exploration Center to find out how to be a naturalist while exploring the Cabrillo Beach Coastal Park. Afterwards, the audio tour directs visitors to the Aquatic Nursery to learn more about aquaculture, the endangered white abalone, threatened Pacific seahorses and CMA’s award-winning garibaldi research.
The audio tour is a great way to become better acquainted with the Aquarium in a short amount of time because the whole tour only takes 30 minutes. MP3 players can be checked out in the library, are easy to use and are available in English or Spanish. The best part is that the audio tour is free! Visitors just have to leave a driver’s license or some type of ID with staff to check out an MP3 player. Or if you prefer the audio tour can be downloaded from the CMA website. So stop by and have a listen!
