Research and conservation are important tools in understanding and protecting our valuable local ocean environments and resources. Research at the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium consists of volunteer and student projects in both long-term monitoring of local marine habitats and the laboratory-based husbandry projects to achieve a better understanding of basic marine life and their lifecycles.
