Whole Foods in Torrance Partners with the Aquarium for Community Giving Day
As part of "community giving day," Whole Foods in Torrance partnered with FRIENDS of Cabrillo Marine Aquarium on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. 5% of the day's total net sales were donated to the Aquarium. FCMA Membership Coordinator Cheryl Anderson-Butler promoted "community giving day" on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Whole Foods. FCMA appreciates everyone who came out and shopped including volunteers, staff and FCMA members.

IMAX Film "DOLPHINS" Screening
Join FRIENDS members and volunteers in celebrating the re-opening of the John M. Olguin Auditorium on Saturday, September 18, 6:30-8:30pm. Director Emeritus John M. Olguin will talk about the auditorium that bears his name. Dolphins, nominated for best documentary in 2000, directed by Greg MacGillivray, will be screened. This 39-minute IMAX film narrated by Pierce Brosnan, with music by Sting, offers a perspective on the lives of dolphins and their remarkable intelligence.
The evening will end with light refreshments in the Courtyard.
Thanks to funding from FRIENDS of CMA and the City of Los Angeles you will see the new carpet, cushioned seats, screen, lighting and other amenities that make the auditorium fresh and new.
