Cabrillo Marine Aquarium invites you to participate in free tours led by experienced junior high and high school docents. These are special tours as CMA does not open to the public until noon. The tours will only be offered this week on the following dates:
10 a.m. Tuesday, August 21
10 a.m. Wednesday, August 22
10 a.m. Thursday, August 23
10 a.m. Friday, August 24
No reservations are necessary, you must check in by 9:45am. Tours will begin promptly at 10am and will last up to 90 minutes. All ages are welcome.
The Aquarium's junior high and high school volunteers have dedicated their summer break to learning about local marine life and have been giving tours to summer camps and school groups. Now the Aquarium is opening its doors to the community, giving everyone an opportunity to experience these junior-experts at their finest.
Tour participants will have a chance to learn about our animals and see the largest collection of Southern California marine life in the world. The tour also includes a visit to our tidepool touch tank where guests can touch prickly urchins, stinging sea anemones, and bumpy sea stars.
