Cabrillo Marine Aquarium's Summer Docent Program is fun and interactive introduction to Southern California marine life. During the four-week session, participants will develops skills in presenting information and interacting with the public, which are the foundation of informal education, as well as excellent tools to be used throughout life, no matter your career choice.
This program is open to students entering Grades 7 to 12 in the fall of 2021. We are currently planning for these programs to be 100% virtual; however we will stay flexible with the hope that we may be able to add in some optional, safe, on-site activities. Training and activities relating to Southern California tidepools, beaches, kelp forest, islands, open ocean and touring techniques are included.
