Friday, February 3, 2023
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Come learn how raising fishes led to investigating how the environment can affect the larvae of the beach-spawning California grunion and the successful reintroduction of juvenile giant sea bass. Also learn how modeling larval fish behavior is useful for biomimicry and bioinspiration.

Dr. Andres Carrillo is currently an Anatomy and Physiology instructor at Antelope Valley College whose biological and educational training began as a Cabrillo Marine Aquarium volunteer “a long time ago." Andres’ research goals were investigating how environment factors affect fish growth and development to understand consequences of changing environments.
