With an extensive marine education background, enthusiasm and animated teaching style, our Ocean Outreach instructors bring a memorable experience to your class. Hands-on demonstrations, specimens, and student involvement enhance the educational experience. Each program is tailored to the grade level and interests of the class.

Fish Printing: Gyotaku in the Classroom

Description:
Discover what makes a fish a fish through the ancient art of Gyotaku (fish rubbing). In this engaging class, students will create colorful fish prints and will have fun while discovering the unique background of Gyotaku and the Japanese Hiragana language.
3rd: 3a, 3b, 5b

* Limit 30 students per classroom program. Additional similar programs at the same site on the same day will be $70/program, with a maximum number of four programs per day. After-school programs (any program beginning after 2:30 pm) are $230 for a single class, $320 for two classes.
