CA State Marine Fish Babies Growing at CMA!
In a patch of red algae on the outer beach near the Aquarium, approximately 40,000 bright orange Garibaldi eggs were laid on June 22. This nest has been continuously observed by Cabrillo Marine Aquarium (CMA) staff since 1999 and these are the first garibaldi eggs of the season.
