Join Cabrillo Marine Aquarium staff and help us educate thousands of visitors each year about Southern California's marine environment. Interns and staff serve in many departments both in front of the public and behind the scenes. Major divisions include: Aquarists, Exhibits, Research-Aquatic Nursery, Programs, Education, Outreach, Administration, Maintenance, and Friends of CMA.

Most intern and staff positions at CMA that open up are part-time. Interested individuals can submit a resume regardless of current opportunities available below. We will add you to our job mailing list to receive flyers of upcoming openings for one year. Full-time positions (Civil Service) are hired through the City of Los Angeles Personnel Division as we are a facility of the Department of Recreation and Parks.

Aquatic Nursery Staff, Part-Time Position

Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is seeking applicants for part-time positions in its aquaculture-research exhibit (Aquatic Nursery). Aquatic Nursery Staff raise Southern California sea animals, mentor young scientists trained in CMA’s research program, and engage visitors about marine research. This position is well-suited for applicants interested in gaining experience with aquaculture, marine research, or science education.

Exhibits Facilities Assistant, Part-Time Position
Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is seeking applicants for a part-time position in its Exhibits Department. The main responsibility will be assisting the Exhibits Curator in the construction and maintenance of interpretive exhibits and facility.
