FREE Public Tours
Cabrillo Marine Aquarium invites you to participate in free tours led by experienced high school docents. These special tours will only be offered Tuesday through Friday from August 19 to August 29 starting at 10am and 10:30am.
Tour participants will have a chance to learn about our animals and see the largest collection of Southern California marine life in the world. The tour also includes a visit to our tidepool touch tank where guests can touch prickly urchins, stinging sea anemones, and bumpy sea stars.
The Aquarium's high school volunteers have dedicated their summer break to learning about local marine life and have been giving tours to summer camps and school groups. Now the Aquarium is opening its doors to the community, giving everyone an opportunity to experience these junior-experts at their finest.
The free docent led tours are an exciting way for you to learn about Southern California marine life, have the chance to see animals up close and gain an appreciation for the ocean.
No reservations are necessary. Tours will begin promptly at 10am and 10:30am and will last approximately 50 minutes. All ages are welcome. The Aquarium will open at 12:00pm for self-conducted visits.
